If one of the more vocal members makes a statement, instead of saying &quot;that&#039;s interesting&quot;, pivot to the shy person and say &quot;do you agree with what X said&quot;? If bland agreement is offered, there&#039;s no harm in taking the opposing position and saying &quot;what about ______?&quot;

There&#039;s a fine line, of course, between being proactive about including those who aren&#039;t assertive and bullying people who are too shy to speak up. I&#039;ve probably crossed the line a couple of times, but I try my best to read the body language.]]></description>
