The point is, it shouldn’t matter, regardless. Neither should be treated badly, for wearing whatever the hell they like, for whatever reason.

The general public tends to think of crossdressing and being transgendered as the same thing. i.e. Joe Public thinks a transwoman is a man in drag pretending to be a woman. Crossdressing is a type of gender-play done for pleasure. Being transgendered is not play acting. It’s being the person you really are.
