Veronica mentioned earlier about the debate going on between some sciency types and some philosophs on the subject of science.
Although, I am neither philosopher, nor scientist, I’m a fan of both. And in this case… I’d say the philosophers have the right of it.
Science is not constrained by methodological naturalism. Science just is methodological naturalism.
It’s like when scientists get defensive about Hume’s Problem of Induction, as if being critical of science is the same as dismissing it. Hume wasn’t, I’m not, and I don’t think serious philosophers of science do.
