As many of you know, Eschaton 2012 is a weekend-long celebration of reason at the end of the world. However, even if you can’t spend the whole weekend celebrating reason, you may be able attend one day or one event. There is good news: single day/event tickets are now available. Check the programme to see what speaker or event you can’t afford to miss:
Jim Linville, who is one of the speakers confirmed for Eschaton 2012,
is an associate professor of Religious Studies at the University of Lethbridge in Lethbridge, Alberta, where his main field of study is the Hebrew Bible.
He’s the owner of the recently defunct (though not, happily, defunked) blog: http://drjimsthinkingshop.com/ and he is known for wearing Viking helmets.
Linville is scheduled to speak on Old Testament Studies on Saturday, 1 December. The tickets to hear Jim Linville and others speak during the day on Saturday are $150.
Check out Linville’s blog and read Jerry Coyne’s post on Linville at Why Evolution Is True.
