Annie Urban, who, with Crystal Beauvais-Daoust, is conducting a Parenting Beyond Belief workshop at Eschaton 2012, is
a social, political and consumer advocate on issues of importance to parents, women and children, in particular atheist or non-religious parents who otherwise may have difficulty building a support network.
She regularly uses her blog, Ph.D. in Parenting as a platform to create awareness and to advocate for change, calling out the government, corporations, media and sometimes other bloggers for positions, policies and actions that threaten the rights and well-being of parents and their children.
The Parenting Beyond Belief workshop will be held on Sunday, 2 December. The tickets to attend the workshop and to attend talks by other Eschaton 2012 guests during the day on Sunday are $150.
Note: Tickets for the entire three-day event are still available for $275; $225 for CFI members.
