Larry Moran at Eschaton 2012

Larry Moran is excited about attending and speaking at Eschaton 2012 and hopes to “See you there!”

Larry Moran

Larry Moran is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Toronto interested in molecular evolution and evolutionary theory. As a model system he has been working with a family of genes known as the HSP70 multigene family, the most highly conserved genes known in all of biology.
He maintains the blog “Sandwalk: Strolling with a Skeptical Biochemist“, and has found himself the target of ire from the Discovery Institute and other proponents of Intelligent Design creationism for his spirited defense of evolutionary biology and scientific theories on the origin of life.

As Professor Moran will tell you,

The best event, by far, will be Saturday morning:

  • 9 AM: Eugenie Scott
  • 10AM: Larry Moran “Science vs IDiots”
  • 11AM: PZ Myers
  • 11:30 AM: Audience Q+A, panel on science education (PZ Myers, Eugenie Scott, Larry Moran)

The tickets to attend Larry Moran’s talk and the Q + A and to attend talks by other Eschaton 2012 guests during the day on Saturday are $150.

Note: Tickets for the entire three-day event are still available for $275; $225 for CFI members.
