The woman in the picture above is Jolene Coste, a religion teacher at St Thomas of Villanova Catholic Secondary School in Windsor, Ontario. She is also a bully.

According to Xtra,

Administrators at [St Thomas of Villanova Catholic Secondary School] in Windsor, Ontario, are allegedly threatening to launch a lawsuit in an attempt to silence a gay student who is speaking out against homophobic discrimination at the school.

Ms. Coste found out that Brooke, an 18 year old Grade 12 student, is gay and in a relationship with another gay female student attending the school.  Coste showed her disapproval of Brooke’s lifestyle by outing the relationship to her partner’s parents, by looking at Brooke “with a disgusted face” and by making “comments in front of the class about how homosexuals cannot have a real family.”  This is typical behaviour from a bully who gets her attitude from the Catholic Church and teaches from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Coste made this clear in a statement to Xtra:

“If she feels uncomfortable, that’s her choice,” she says. “I have no problem with gay students because I have lots of gay friends myself. I have some very good homosexual friends. That is their choice in their lifestyle. What I teach in my classroom is solely curriculum. It has nothing to do with my feelings toward anyone.”

Jolene Coste is not a teacher; she is a tyrant.  Coste thinks it’s all about Brooke’s “choice,” but Coste too has a choice. She can teach the religion curriculum with sensitivity and concern for all her students.  She can practice some of that Christian charity Catholics are always going on about, and she can stop saying,

“I believe until the day I die that homosexuals can not get married in church.”

Costes statement about homosexual marriage and the question on the religion midterm “what makes a ‘real’ marriage?” prompted Brooke to write a message, in capital letters, on the exam paper:

“FUCK ALL YOU CATHOLICS. I’M GAY AND GOD LOVES ME TOO”

Good for Brooke!

As for the administrators at St Thomas of Villanova, who are allegedly threatening to launch a lawsuit against Brooke, go ahead! Make a fool of yourselves, and give Ontario taxpayers another reason to ask the provincial government to stop supporting Catholic schools in Ontario.
