On Sunday, March 3, Cross Country Checkup with Rex Murphy will be broadcast on CBC Radio, live from Regent College on the UBC Vancouver campus. Murphy’s topic, “Does religion have a place in public life?” promises to generate lively debate:

In the spirit of multiculturalism, Canada has made room for a world of perspectives. But what about the closely held values of religion …is there room for them? Should they be included on the public stage and in public policy? Does religion have a place in public life?

No Rex, religion has no place in public life, and now that we are on the topic of religious values, please clarify: whose religion and whose values?

What would you ask Rex Murphy if you were to attend the Cross Country Checkup live broadcast? Ian Bushfield, Executive Director of  the BC Humanist Association, would like suggestions:

Thoughts on what I should ask Rex Murphy at his Cross Country Checkup broadcast on Religion & Politics on Sunday?

You can tweet your suggestions to Ian at ‏@ibushfield, email him at exdir@bchumanist.ca, or you can leave a comment to this post.
