There seems to be very little to do with religion involved in the current deplorable situation in the Ukraine.
Are we to bury it deep under the earth and turn the other way at what may be an example of Atheist on Atheist violence?
Certainly there are many non-atheists involved. But they all seem to be for the most part, from the exact same religion, and they don’t seem to be touting religion in any form whatsoever. And certainly, there are many Atheists involved. One might even say a possible majority, given the Ukraine’s history.
Surely a reference to the supposed role of the crucifixion in redeeming sinful humanity? It’s a rather edgy bit of humour, actually, for a Presbyterian church.

How does your comment relate to the church sign? Maybe you should write a guest post on the “deplorable situation in the Ukraine.”
Exactly, I just stuck it into the closest thing to a possibly topically related post at the top of the heap because I had nowhere else to post it.
I’m just worried about the temptation to over-post as an article contributor (not that it seems to stop me as a regular visitor 8P )
Worry not, prolific writers and lots of posts are welcome. Contact me at veronica@canadianatheist.com
